This is an art print of the original painting of LeeChin, entitled “Wally, The Walrus Who Accidentally Sunk Some Boats”, 2022, using newspaper scraps and acrylic paint on a 12” x 16” canvas.
This painting is inspired by the special bond between a little girl, Hailey, and her blue bear, BlueBlue. BlueBlue was discovered while Hailey was rummaging through her grandma's old toys one summer day. Her eyes caught a glimpse of a beautiful blue bear that seemed to be calling out to her. She knew in her heart that they were meant to be together forever. From that day on, BlueBlue became Hailey's constant companion, and they were inseparable. They went everywhere together, and Hailey felt so happy to have someone to share her love of blue with. Through this painting, there is a sense of nostalgia and it aims to remind viewers of the joy that comes from finding something or someone special in life.
